Perdue, bulls and the budget (2.1.10)
Sonny Perdue is qualified to castrate a bull and he also knows how to nip and tuck a state budget.
Read this article in the Journal-Constitution to see what the governor is up to this time.
In a nutshell, the lame-duck governor is taking care of his own in a state budget that includes furloughs for teachers and other austerity moves.
In tough times, Perdue is making sure that Warner Robins has enough money to build a complex for Little League baseball — a project he helped his home county get instead of offering a boost to Columbus. He is building a barn at the agricenter in Perry and he is taking care of his alma mater by building the University of Georgia's vet school a $7.7 million learning center.
So keep an eye on your animals. Who knows where Sonny will strike next.
